11 Cor 5:17-21. The phrase”In Christ” enchristos utilizes two of the greatest words one could use to describe life. Eternity’s destination and all life’s motivation hinge on the significance they bear”In Christ” His wondrous reality that we as believers have been brought into His presence and given His grace, and on this, the leader’s thought should focus both night and day. Paul uses this saying and something very close to it, almost 170 times in his New testament letters. It has been called his magnificent obsession, and it should also be ours as leaders. Paul is communicating with these two words that the identity and actions must not be separated for one who is”in Christ”. This leads to certain confessions that serve as common denominators and must be true in the life of every leader. — The reality of a life in Christ is that I am a new creature vs 17. —The reason for a life being in Christ is that I am unconditionally and intimately loved by God v v 18-21—The result of life in Christ is that I am motivated to lead in the ministry of reconciliation, helping to establish relationships with God and people. v v 18-21. The totality of what has been discussed here is that our lives must radiate Christ in every aspect without pretence. Not money, not fame, not position should deter us from Christ. My prayer is that the Lord will make us behave well and be compatible with Him ijmn.
