Text can be found in psalm 143:9. There are many places of shelter (a) Shelter that brings glory (b) Shelter that brings shame. God and second trinity are good examples of shelter of glory while the devil the father of liars that was defeated on the cross is a typical example of shelter of shame. God is the creator of Heaven and Earth and everything therein Gen 1:1. Christ brought salvation to mankind. Heb 5:9. All souls belong to God Ezekiel 18:4a. God of all flesh Jeremiah 32:27. Christ is the possessor of power Heaven and Earth Matthew 28:18. Christ has power to open and close door Rev 3:7. Christ is the only light John 1:5. Christ is the possessor of life John 1:4. Christ is the only destroyer of the works of the devil 1 john 3:8. In spite of all these, some people still take shelter in god of iron (Ogun). Some take shelter in god of thunder (Sango). Some take shelter in obatala, Some in ayelala, Some in erede in Usen ovia South West of Edo State e. t. c. Some in herbalists, ogboni, ifa. They are good to those who love them, but they were created by God. However, one peculiarity about these gods is the fact that they are not humans in flesh and they cannot be said to resurrect after death, but Jesus did. Christ resurrected and lives forever Isaiah 9:6. Therefore, taking shelter in all these gods and goddesses that cannot talk, that cannot see, that cannot smell, that cannot walk and touch is the greatest foolery, because human beings are higher. Take a bold decision today to come to Jesus, for He cares for you. Matthew 11:28. God bless you as you obey.
