In Exodus 20:3, this was the first commandment given to the people of Israel to know whom they were to worship. Since God has delivered the Israelites from bondage, He is the only one they are bound to worship as a reciprocal. The world is full of gods and idols offering us some good ways to lure us so as to worship them( idols). The God of the Bible offers us more than what we could hope for– a way of salvation from darkness and brokenness of our sin through the only means Jesus Christ in whom we can have complete restoration, redemption and fulfillment of destiny. The partial restoration offered by the devil and his cohorts if any, short lives. God is having absolute control over us because He created us and we must obey Him and worship Him in the universe. Although the universe is seemingly huge, God ordained a plan for our lives before the beginning of time. He knows us and has promised to always be with us. Of course, He created us and knows us intimately, therefore, He has a right to command our worship. There are several ways to honour Him through giving our true worship John 4:24. We can worship God by keeping Him first in our lives, in spite of all things calling for our attention. We can worship God by giving Him all the glory for successes we encounter. Sacrificial living is another way through which we can worship God by giving Him our total obedience. When we worship God wholeheartedly with our love for Him, with our soul, mind and strength, then He cares for us absolutely. Mark 12:30. Total surrender is germane in worshipping God and by so doing, He controls our lives. However, we must persistently walk in faith in our journeys with God. Only God is worthy of our praise and worship, no one else. May the Lord open our inner minds to see the need to serve God alone. Follow us on this website and add knowledge to knowledge. God bless you all. Ire o.
