Don’t let your Dream die.

Gen 37-40 Joseph’s brothers despised the young dreamer because his father favored him. Gen 37:3. So when Joseph bragged to them about his dream in which his brothers bow down to him was the last straw. In anger, his brothers threw him into a pit which might likely have dangerous animal. He was sold for twenty pieces of silver, the price of a handicapped slave. He was taken to Egypt and served faithfully and became successful Gen 39:5. When his boss’s wife approached him for Adultery, Joseph was careful not to trample his dream through immorality. He rejected the proposal offered him by Zulaikha, hence he was falsely accused to potiphar who banished him to a dungeon. He endured slavery, imprisonment, betrayal and long period of waiting, but God taught Joseph to serve in the dungeon so he could lead in the world. After years of faithfulness, God elevated him. Eventually, Joseph became pharaoh’s right hand man, second in command of the world most powerful nation. Gen 41:40. Joseph saved many people from starvation, including his brothers who did as the dream foretold, bowed to him in Egypt. Instead of the common reaction of rage, resentment and revenge, Joseph forgave them. His reward was a life of influence, leadership, and legacy. Joseph simply refused to let the dream die, regardless of circumstance or criticism. He was actually focus and principled not to soil his integrity. Sex that was never bargained for was introduced by Zulaikha and she was disappointed by simple analogy” for me to do this and sin to my God, God forbid. Joseph determined to get his dream actualized, which invariably catapulted him up. People of God will you not readily accept the offer in a hurry and truncate your destiny? Temporary pleasure that can terminate the love of God in one’s life is dangerous, if upheld. Be like Joseph so as to become the envy of the whole world. Those of us still wallowing in sin, please have a rethink and come to Jesus for clean life. God bless you as you obey.
