Observably, freedom of the press in African Nations is almost in abeyance because the law is not allowed to rule but few men. Where law rules everybody will be equal before the law, there will be no exception, but men rule to frustrate the order laid down and remove freedom of the press. Men rule to confuse people in democracy, men rule to favour themselves, men rule to give the best to the few in power, particularly under capitalist government where the rich become richer and the poor poorer. The palaver of immunity gives room for endless failure and higgledy piggledy democracy. This system is not found anywhere but in Nigeria. Not in USA, Britain, France,India etcetera. Their own Demos+Kratia is practised purely on votes cast, because the sovereign rests with the electorate. Late Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as the government of the people, by the people and for the people. It was acclaimed the best definition. People are afraid of reporting the proceeding of the National Assembly because of fear of being beheaded or silence in the prison. The”infra digni tante” and “inflangrate delicto” should be discouraged entirely. It is obvious however, where there is good performance in democracy, no need of immunity to halt people from harming their leaders. Why not frame another law to favour the law abiding citizens to further discourage hoodlums from criminal act? The issue of Bi polar region dichotomy North and South should be completely removed. No wonder Nigeria is governed by two different laws. Penal code and criminal code. Penal code for the North introducing Sharia law framed in 1960, while criminal code is used for the Southern Nigeria. One law encourages killing while the other one encourages sanity because once you are caught in any criminal act, you are punished immediately. It is outlandish to foreign countries that operate clean democracy. Nigeria should rethink and guillotine British system of governance still existing till today. In Benin City of Nigeria, the monarch saw it as second slavery, therefore removed the British name from their streets e. g Plymouth road changed to Adesogbe road. We must not be tied to their Apron after sovereignty and independence of 1960. No doubt, things will begin in quiescence and end again in quiescence for upwards of 1000 years without solution. However, every system is good, but people operating it are bad. When most Africans are elected through rigging, they run the Administration at the detriment of others. They forget to know that God is seeing them. Isaiah 5:20-23 is referring to them. The earlier they change the better. For those few that are good, please go ahead and receive the blessing of God prov 10:22. Ire o. God bless you all.
