Custom without Jesus, program without Jesus and sobber mind is useless. Therefore, why are we going and returning without anything to show for it? Attending Sunday service, programmes, retreats and involving in fasting and praying, praise and worship etcetera and no fruitful results must be viewed seriously. Keying into routine work and Jesus is missing all through is no solution. For instance, Jesus was missing at 12 years while Mary and Joseph the earthly parents were not aware of his whereabouts. In Luke 2:41 the Bible specifies his parents, but in verse 43, the statement was specific. It mentioned that Joseph was not aware of Jesus whereabout and same with the mother Mary. This denotes that every one of us must be responsible for the missing Jesus. Whether you are a husband or wife, when you miss out Jesus from your life as an individual, God is going to call you and I by name. Our relationship with God must be personal and not hinged on other people’s experiences. Church may not be spiritually, what about your own life? Are you very hot or spiritually weak? Are you living above sin? Have you conquered the power of darkness in your life? When your spiritual experience has been come a company experience, it is a pointer that you are missing out. Therefore, assumption to be right whereas you are wrong is an expensive mistake. Make amend quickly, cry out and return to Him where you miss it. Put aside every argument and self justification and turn to Jesus in humility and repentance. He will abundantly pardon you. God has not introduced any other person to us as our saviour and as our example. You cannot live to please self and still please “God”. The two cannot co exist. Do you yield readily to your desire than you submit to God’s will? Are you a secret “failure” but a public “success”? Think about it. Today, make amend and come to Jesus.
